Alan Anderson, Director of Development at Shriners Hospitals for Children
Alan Anderson has been fundraising for causes he believes in as long as he can remember. Beginning as a 2nd grader selling grape slushee drinks to benefit his school’s athletic program, Alan has always been passionate about mobilizing community support for organizations that are making a difference in the lives of people they serve. Alan has been fundraising professionally for 30 years, following a decision to change careers from finance, which was inspired by the birth of his daughter and his family’s move to Davis, California.
In 2007, Alan became the Director of Development for Shriners Hospitals for Children - Northern California where he manages every aspect of the regional development program for a singular purpose: to help children overcome injury and disability by managing the financial support operations necessary for the many programs at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Northern California that are transforming children’s lives. Alan is inspired every day by the compassionate generosity of donors, among whom are people like Kathi Jobson and Michael Ashker. Thanks to their vision – and the support of home buyers, sellers, and participating realtors – Realtors® Who Shrine will play a vital role in helping the hospital’s determined patients and dedicated caregivers achieve their goals. Alan is honored to work with Realtors® Who Shrine.
Amber Fortier, Founding Team Member
Amber has lived in Sacramento/Placer County since she was 5 years old making her very knowledgeable about the region and what it has to offer its residents. She believes in being honest with her clients and educating them about the home buying and selling process so that they can make a decision based on what it best for them at the time, even if that means waiting to take that very important step. Amber knows that embarking on the journey to home ownership is probably one of the biggest financial decisions that you will make and she enjoys being the person that guides you through that journey and helps you reach your destination. Helping people to find a place that they are proud to call home is the most rewarding aspect of Real Estate and why Amber loves being a Realtor.
In additional to providing professional Real Estate service to her clients, Amber also loves to give back to her community. Amber’s community involvement began in high school when she was part of a youth group. As part of the youth group she completed two trips to Mexico where she visited orphanages, built homes, and supplied families with food and clothing. In order to go on these mission trips Amber also had to complete 80 hours of community service. Amber has continued to give back to her community though either volunteering or making financial contributions to several charity organizations including The Children’s Tumor Foundation, Precious Lives Foundation, and local pet rescues. Amber still wanted to give back in a bigger way and be a part of something that would make a lasting impact which is why she decided to become a Realtor who Shrines!
